Good News and/or Confessions for Wednesday
Let's hear it ladies!

I laid in bed for an extra 30 minutes this morning instead of working out
And I will likely still partake (sp?) in the birthdy cake at work this afternoon.
Hmm, well, I found out this week that one of my best friends is pregnant! Yay!
And I finally worked out last night for the first time in FOREVER. Felt weird, but definitely good. That was 1 of 3 necessary workouts for the week for me to meet my goals.

My 101
I am procrastinating cleaning out my home office. I have been working on this for a week - going slowly on purpose so that I do a good job - and I am just tired of filing stuff.
My good news is that I am going to dinner and a movie with some of my girlfriends tonight!
I'm trying to think of something really fun and creative for DH for V-day.....and I've got nothin'. Any ideas?
I have a meeting today and I'm taking my new "Health" magazine and will pretend that I'm working and taking notes when I'll really be reading my mag.
I am having a pretty good hair day today.
I brought a sugar free dark chocolate jello pudding with my lunch today, and ate it first. I nearly licked the container.
Yesterday I had kindof a crappy day at work and was grounchy by quittin' time. I'd planned to go home and work out. . .but instead I said yes to a last minute dinner date that included a shared bottle of wine and a shared cup of gelato. By the end of the evening, I didn't regret skipping my work out one bit! But, I know I will be regretting it if I have to wear a swimsuit in Vegas in a few weeks.
I've already considered "accidentally" forgetting to pack my swimsuit.

I'm making a lot of progress on remodelling my bathroom! Depending on when the countertops are ready, it should be done in the next 2 weeks. I'm SO excited ... I'm painting the cabinest myself right now and so far they are turning out great!
What, no Mormon-approved modesty swimsuit for you?
This isn't creative or exciting.... but DH and I have never been able to celebrate Valentine's Day on the actual day. We really have never done anything for the holiday before. I told him not to pick up OT that Sunday. I am going to make spaghetti and meatsauce, garlic bread and salads for dinner. I'm going to make the table look nice with some candles and stuff. i want to bake something for dessert... like cupcakes with hearts on them! Bring on the Cheese-Whiz!
You could do a romantic dinner at home I guess is my idea for you! LOL

My usual sun burka takes up too much room in my suitcase.

We have budget cuts at work, which means a friend who is a contractor might have to be let go. I'm so sad.
I've been trying not to cry thinking about it.
Good news: see ticker below.
I've had allergies every morning this week. It has been a pretty good excuse not to work out, but I feel bad bc DH is really trying to be motivational for me. He works out independantly every day.
We went to the outlet mall (south) yesterday. After visiting Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Coach and some clothing stores I didn't buy anything. Not one. single. thing. None of them are having good sales right now or I couldn't find anything worth buying.
I get my grillz off in T-5 days. I am beyond freakin' excited. (translation: grillz = braces). It was interesting to me when a coworker was fascinated at my ability to "see two years into the future to know that all the pain and money would make me a happier person". Uh, yeah. You don't go through a lifetime of getting made fun of to wonder if this would improve your self-esteem.
I made a quick trip to the RR outlets last week and I thought the sales were crap! On top of that, most of the stores had very little stock of anything, sale or no sale. It was weird, but good for my bank acct at least.
Congrats!
The guy at Pottery Barn told me they're all trying to do inventory now so they aren't restocking or trying to move seasonal stuff right now. He said it should be back to normal the beginning of Feb.
thethomps- Congratulations!!!
Congrats to thethomps on the pregercy, as I call it, and FCB on getting your braces off soon. That is such a great feeling!
No juicy confessions here, but as far as good news, my sweetie has 2 job offers in the works!! (and another phone interview today) They are both really far north, so we just need to get this abode sold now. Realtor says things probably won't pick up at least until mid-Feb though.
Yay congrats! That is great news!

Congrats! That's wonderful!
Nothing particular to confess - other than spending way too much time online shopping, putting things in my shopping cart and then x'ing out - all when I REALLY need to be working. Just zero motivation today. Bad news. Also, getting a whole HVAC system installed at my house right now. I'll be buying a bottle of Prosecco on my way home tonight to ease the financial pain.
OK, my official effort to stop lurking and contribute like I should! Have you ever heard of the restaurant Jezebel? It's downtown, just a small little place. What makes it so fun is you can choose to have the chef create a 3 course meal (or 4 or 5 or whatever you are up for) after the waiter just asks a few questions about what you like and don't like. They will even pair each course with a different wine. It's a great little romantic restaurant that is an excursion from the normal "dinner out" but not cheap, so plan to splurge!
My confession for Wednesday is my husband is at home taking care of everything! He's doing laundry, took the dry cleaning, took the dogs to the groomer for a nail trim, took the computer in to be fixed, etc, etc. He starts his new job next Wednesday so it won't last long, but I am LOVING it this week! I didn't get any time off during the holidays and the daily to-dos were piling up on me!
How exciting! I noticed it the other day but didn't want to call you out! Congratulations!
Amy
Thanks Amy! I've only "said" anything on here. Keeping it quiet on FB and my blog until later.
Your secret is safe! here is to a happy and healthy 9 months!
Amy
