oh, and, since I missed music confessions earlier...I love a lot of different music
I own a LOT of jazz and blues--I adore it.
And I can NOT listen to instrumental only jazz.
I can *barely* make it through Coletrane and he's one of my faves. It's just...
I dunno, music is poetry w/ a melody. If it's just the melody, meh, my attention span is going to be sucked into something more shiny.

Instrumental Jazz was ruined by my FIL who liked to play sh!tty versions when he had one of his flavor of the month hos over during family get togethers. He liked it because he'd get them drunk and get them in the mood.
It's disgusting. Dis-gust-ing.
