f/u from yesterday's onesie with a bowtie

I told DH that one day I'm getting him and the baby matching ties. Then they will wear matching dress shirts and suits.

I think I figured out why this excites me. When I was a kid my mom was all about having my sister and me in matching outfits, and sometimes her outfit matched ours. My dad was always left out. I hated it and thought it was unfair he didn't have to wear a fugly jumper.

So now I'm going to do it to DH and my son. Suck on that suckas.

  • still stupid, thanks for asking!

  • I figured as much. DH rolled his eyes.

The best part, if I could get them to do this when DH was taking the baby to work (where daycare is). I'd get them matching briefcases.

Gawd, I am dying at the thought of how cute that would be.

  • My mom/grandmothers did this.Ii wish I had access to the Easter pictures where we all had sailor outfits on. They weren't matchy-matchy, but totally coordinated. My baby brother was not spared. I think I was 11. Last time that happened ever, thankfully.

  • All I can think is the summer of 1976.  My mom made the whole fam-damily red, white, and blue striped shirts.  Even my diapered ass had a shirt.  My dad looked hawt.
  • My mom used to do this to us all the time. We never had 100% matching outfits, but Sears and JCPenny had a whole lot of coordinated ensembles for moms and daughters. I remember one particular denim dress that had baby, big sister, and mommy versions. We all wore them for easter, and my brothers and dad wore khaki pants with coordinating sweaters over pastel button down shirts.
  • I do this with hubby and tank when we go to see the Inlaws.  It's adorable since they already look so much alike.  LOL
