soooo i had this brilliant thought tonight. couldn't believe i didn't think of it before (sometimes the blonde in me comes out lol)
well...it's been KILLING me to put all of our veggie and fruit scraps in the garbage disposal...before we moved we had a compost bin outside and i loved it. i was tossing around the idea of a worm bin but DH isn't sold and thinks it's gross.
we're renting right now so i thought we couldn't have a bin...we do have a house with a yard but my concern was that we'll be moving probably in june or july...
but today it dawned on me, DUH. when we move, we can just pick up the bin and move it. how in the hell did i not think of that before? is this feasible? i don't see why it wouldn't be...we'll just load it onto whatever uhaul we rent and drive it to our new place (we probably wont move more than a few miles away)
Re: composters: would this be feasible?
That's what my neighbors did. It's a pain to move, but it can be done. They had a wooden worm bin, too.
Also, there are places around town where you can drop off your compostable materials.
We have one of these. You could definitely pack this up and take it with you.
