Just a question
Why is there so much hate for the EI board?
I can understand why you dislike a few people, but there are a lot of people on that board who weren't involved with that whole thing and it seems they are targets by association.
It's obvious to me that quite a few of those posts are just to get a rise out of people over there, but I can't help but feel bad when someone innocently posts a reply to one of the "joke" posts.
Anyway, there have been a lot of helpful responses from the people on this board related to entertaining ideas, so it's clear that you have good ideas to contribute.
I guess I just don't know why the drama needs to be dragged on.

Well, if you did a little research you'd see that we are who we've always been. Busy has always posted disgusting photos that even here get DON'T OPEN BUSY'S POST posts. One day it may be a severed foot, one day it may be an advanced gangreen wound. She's a great person, and we all love her in some form or another. Most of us are amused with the seriousness with which some of your board members conduct their lives. It shouldn't be an issue for you if someone is snarky over, "I'm having a party for 3 people. I need an 8 course meal that must fall into X theme."
This. I mean really, having a post deleted because it showed an infected armpit? Would I frame that photo and display it on my desk? No. But having it deleted, combined with the ridiculous brouhaha a month or so ago, makes it look like many of the posters there lack very basic coping skills.
My point was that, after "graduating" to 6-12 on The Bump, I've seen tons of great party ideas: themes, color schemes, menus, invitations, etc. But without the grave seriousness displayed on EI.
ei is really the ney of the nest. it's just an amalgamation of bad ideas, poor choices and deadly seriousness wrapped up in a tube of pillsbury crescent rolls.
I love that you think the EI board is important enough for us to "hate."
We go over there at moments of boredom, stir the pot, then sit back and watch the fun. It's harmless.
No one has been targeted on EI, and we certainly aren't lumping you all into the same level of idiocracy (or any at all). All boards get joke posts from time to time. If a reg. falls for it that is on them, not the OP.
And seriously, busy has made all of like what....3 posts since the original Tara$$ sh!t fit? That is hardly dragging anything on.

Ok, that explains it. I didn't know if it was just specifically aimed at the EI board. I thought it was done with ill-intent, but if that's the norm, then no big deal.
Oh, and the warning post about the vanilla pudding, I only put that because Busy mentioned that she was suprised no one posted a warning post to not open the vanilla pudding one on there. But I'm not going to lie that was pretty nasty.
