I finally get to the point where I can eat lunch, so I run by the house (very close by) to pick up something. H looks at me and asks what's wrong. I asked if he'd read my I'm-about-to-pull-my-hair out texts from the morning's grad school fun. He said yes. Then he says I need to go to the FedEx place (a 1:30+ round trip). I thought it was about my irritating morning.
No. FedEx has a completely screwed up address for a package, it couldn't be delivered and it needed to be picked up. I don't know why neither FedEx nor the sender couldn't update the address when we learned it was wrong, it just wasn't. And the package was in my name, which meant I had to get it. H said that they told him it was there and needed to be picked up today or it would be returned to the sender.
So, I call in that I'll be out, possibly for the rest of the day and head for the FedEx place. When I get there, they have not clue what package I'm asking for. They look up my name, the bad address, everything. They finally look up H's name.
The package had already been returned to the sender. And, since it actually had H's name on it, I couldn't have picked it up anyway.
Screw you FedEx. Screw you.
Re: I didn't need this today - Vent
Ooooh...That's some BS. I'm pissed for you. I'm sorry.

Not long after I moved here, I had a very time consuming hassle involving FedEx. I stopped ordering from any company that used them to ship for a few years. I think I'll stop dealing with them and their senders, because this was ridiculous.
