countertops

Any suggestions on a good place to buy countertops and have them installed? We need new ones in our rental, and I'm looking for a good place to deal with. Since we don't live there we don't care too much about having the latest colors, etc, we just want them to look nice, be installed well, and be durable. Oh, and I checked lowes and home depot, but I'd love to check out some non-big box places.

Also, I haven't looked into local products, but if you happen to know of any companies around here that manufacture countertops, I'd love their names

When we lived in SE we replaced the ugly laminate countertops with Corian. We bought at Home Depot and they contracted the installation out to Precision Countertops who did a great job. Not sure if they would sell you the countertops too, but I think they might. That might be a better way to go. They're in Wilsonville.

It's owned by a friend of mine from high school so they're totally local.. They can design, supply and install it all instead of going through a few different vendors, so it can save you money They also do a great job and do very beautiful work
