Summer Rental

My FI and I are moving in together in May, getting married in June, and moving to Alabama in August. So we need to find a place that allows summer leases or a short rent period. If you know of any place that allows that near Mason or Loveland that would be awesome.

 Thanks!

Re: Summer Rental

  • your best option is going to be clifton. just being honest...otherwise look for large apartment complexes, they are going to negotiate more than anyone else. You want to find a place you know has been sitting empty for a while and they want to make something on. Also, you might want to offer extra money for the cleaning. Having an apartment cleaned and painted, which should be done when the new tenant moves in, can cost over a months rent. Good luck!
  • I agree with the pp you are going to have a hard time finding a place. If you look in Clifton you might be able to sublease from a UC student who's going home for the summer. I don't know any apartment complexes that will only lease for 3 months.

Do you have to move in together? Is there a relative you can live with for those 3 months? DH and I had to live with his mother when I first graduated since the apartment we wanted wasn't going to be vacant for a couple months. While it wasn't the greatest thing in the world, it worked, we saved some money and looking back it isn't that bad.

  • The only other suggestion I have is an extended stay hotel. It's not the best suggestion, but could be a last resort if you MUST.

  • My DH and I own a few rental properties in Cincinnati.  We have one available apartment.  If it is still available in May we would be willing to do a summer rental. Just let me know if you are interested.  We also have a website you can visit  to check any changes in availability for our other properties. I will send you the link.
