Eco friendly cleaning

First off thank you far any and all advice you can give.

I also asked this on mm.

I am thinking about starting a small eco friendly cleaning company in my area as there are none to speak of. I am hoping you can give me some feedback on hte following.

1. Would you pay a little extra for a cleaning company that used all green products (7th generation)?

2. What type of green product line do you prefer if you clean green?

Any other advice would be great.  Thanks again.

Re: Eco friendly cleaning

  • yes. if i were to get a cleaning service i would pay a little extra if they used green products. i do not have a cleaning service though.

i am in the process of changing all products to EF ones or making my own.

check out this blog for green cleaning products that you can make. it saves me tons of money, which is def. MM.

on the left is a link to the list.

and if you made your own maybe you could find a cleaning service that would use your products for a discounted price. again MM.

  • 1. Would you pay a little extra for a cleaning company that used all green products (7th generation)?  I would pay extra within reason.

    2. What type of green product line do you prefer if you clean green?  I talked to a local cleaning person who gave discounts to people who had her use their cleaners and rags, which I thought was a very cool idea.  That would be my first choice.  I guess I'd be open to commercial cleaners like 7th Generation, Biokleen, Ecover, etc. if I could verify exactly what was in the products and how they were being used.

  • 1. Would you pay a little extra for a cleaning company that used all green products (7th generation)? Yes, but within reason.  Not double or anything.  If I was paying more I would ask to see a list of what green products you use.

    2. What type of green product line do you prefer if you clean green? I make my own mostly, but am working through a few bottles of Method.  Their all-purpose cleaner works well on our tiled kitchen.

Any other advice would be great.  Thanks again. I agree with the PP about using your own.  If you advertised that, and I called for a quote and you could tell me that your homemade glass cleaner is made with XYZ and bathroom cleaner is XYZ, I would hire you.
