i have a few.
1) am i the only one who thinks this guy (the nigerian junk bomber, aka fruit of the boom)
looks like this guy?
2) dh and i were out to dinner and this guy at the next table actually leaned over and said, "hey, you look a lot like that lady from 'grey's anatomy.'" i am getting tired of this. i've met a lot of you guys, and i think you can all agree that i do not look like her. not that this is the hill i want to die on, but come on.
does not look like
Re: rpotd
Ha @1!
Yes, you do!
#1 does not look like him. Sorry
You don't look like her.
Can I add mine?
I never understand when my white sistas say they don't see color, because this is how my mind works:
1. Color
2. Heart
3. Personality
4. Everything else.
I've never hear a person of color say this. EVER. I understand what they mean, but I don't think I've ever made this statement. FTR, I don't focus on color, but it is the first thing that I see.
i would say you're as pretty as Sandra Oh, but you don't look just like her.
at least they're not saying you look like Margaret Cho.
and ::gafauw::@ fruit of the boom!
I see color. And I think everyone does too. I think people say that to TRY to make themself look better, but it doesn't. To say you don't see it, says it doesn't matter and it sure as shiiit matters. It is related to culture and experience and that is important to a person.
I'm glad to have friends of all colors of the rainbow - they educate me.
Here NOLA, you can touch my hair
I think I already have.
DIRTY
*ded* and gone.
Ded, gone and buried
Why do strangers feel the need to tell you that you look like someone famous? If they know that you aren't the famous person, then why say anything?
I just a friendly gal looking for options.
