WWWWD?

So next weekend I have the funeral for DH's uncle and DH's party (and it's mah birfday).  I need to get at least a pedicure because I'm probably going to wear open toed shoes to the party (it's all indoors).

I was also thinking of getting a manicure.  The issue is, I sliced my middle finger on my left hand chopping onions on Sunday.  It's cut right to the cuticle. I don't think it's going to be all the way healed by next week.

Would you a) get the manicure for all fingers but the middle one.  I'd put a bandage on it so it doesn't get messed with, or b) just make sure my nails are well trimmed and clean and not bother?

Re: WWWWD?

  • I would post a Busy inspired post, but I will just say no.

Polish your nails, and call it a day.

  • B is what I would do - but that's because with the exception of my wedding, I never go to get my nails done.   What would you do if you hadn't sliced your finger?

  • This is a stupid question. When in doubt you always get the manicure. Unless the question is either, "I don't have hands. Should I get a manicure?" Or "My hands resemble that guy on the discovery channel who got HPV and turned into a human tree. Can I get a manicure?"

  • I'd worry about the cut getting infected. Nail places aren't known for their cleanliness, you know?

I say do your best at home and call it a day.

  • I would get the manicure but just ask them not to touch the cuticle on that finger.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.
