Well isn't this just freakin fantastic.
So I go for my annual physical today. Everything looks great. Everything, except my left breast. They found a lump, and are sending me in for an ultrasound, and possible biopsy. Grrrrreat.
Re: Well isn't this just freakin fantastic.
Well, I know it's stinky and scary. Here's my pep talk:
Hopefully, it's nothing. But, isn't it a really good thing that you went to your physical today and they are acting right away to figure out what the issue is? HUGS!!
Lumps are very common. I've had many and have had 3 good friends who also had them. I'm prone to fibroadenomas (benign lumps) and each one gets a biopsy. The U/S will tell if it's solid or a cyst. If it's solid they will probably order a biopsy just to make sure (but it's still probably nothing). I have had 5 biopsies (as well as lots of u/s and mamograms) over the past 10 years just to be on the safe side. Best of luck and as PPs said try not to worry.
Angela,
I really hope everything is ok! Keep us updated, please.
