Housewarming ideas?

We just bought a 1922 bugalow and I thought it might be fun to have a Roaring 20's theme housewarming party- mint julep's and champagne cocktails, along those lines. It is lame to have a theme for a house warming party? Should I skip the house warming and just make it a party? Also, totally up for any 20's theme ideas!

Re: Housewarming ideas?

  • I think it would be a blast & would totally get into it!

We just bought a 1990's house, do you think anyone would get into a "Fresh Prince" theme party?  haha, kidding! :)

  • Not lame, as long as you don't overdo it. Like, I wouldn't ask people to come dressed in costume or anything.

  • I think it's a great idea to do a themed house warming party.  I agree with pp don't go overboard with it.  But I think it'd be a lot of fun.  I love the 1920's style.
  • I think it would be very fun!

This.  Sounds like a lot of fun, just wouldn't want to dress up for it.
