making new friends is nice

So yesterday DH and I decide to head into town to blow our giftcards from christmas.   We were in the mall and decided to go into Miss. Tiggywinkles.  DH was looking at some joke items and I hear DD telling stories to someone in her cute little baby babble.   SO I look to see if she is talking to a kid or something.  Nope.  We parked her in front of a display of puppets and she was eye to eye with a muppet.  She was having a very ernest conversation with Zoe!   So I picked up the muppet and brought her closer to DD.  Scarlett started to chuckle.  I put the toy back and we started to walk away and she started to cry.  Not a temper cry but a heart breaking sob. Her face crumpled and her little lip quivered and there were tears streaming down her face.  We got back to the puppet rack and she was beside Zoe again and she started talking to her again.

So I handed the doll back to the baby and she started to hug her.  The lady at the checkout went to take Zoe away from Scarlett and she didn't scream she just looked at her with her big blue eyes and the lip started going again.  The lady scanned the doll very quickly and handed her back to Scarlett then said to me, "after a face like that how could you NOT buy the doll?!"

For the rest of the day that doll sat beside Scarlett everywhere we went.  When we were in the car we put the doll on her lap so she was facing the doll and she chattered away at it like it was her best friend.  It was hilarious.  Last night at bedtime she didn't want her usual bedtime toys, she wanted her little Zoe doll.  This morning she woke up giggling and she was in bed playing with the doll. She is obsessed.   I think it's time we started watching sesame street!

Turned out Scarlett go all of our gift card money because we decided to get her a new strollersince the Graco is too big and the cheep little umbrella stroller sucks.   We got a Quinny.  I love how small they fold up.  I Just wish that it was a little easier to operate but I imagine I will get the hang of it.

lol exactly.  When we were in the mall DH was thinking of all the things he wanted to buy with his GC and I was gonna let him and just use my GCs  and then as I was paying he said "dammit,  I can't let you do this.  And handed me his too."  I told him he didn't have to but I was glad he did cause that wasn't a cheep stroller!
