Anyone have a good recipe?
Re: Steak Marinade
Sounds yummy! My DH is paranoid and won't eat beef unless it resembles a charred brick of ashes. I love me a good steak (prime rib....ahhhh), but don't buy steak because of DH's peculiar preference. Jealous!
The nice thing about this is it browns up really nicely. ?I eat my steaks medium rare but for those that like them more done, this will just brown up and give it lots of flavor. ?It's also nice that you don't have to worry about some sticky or runny marinade. ?You also don't have to worry about doing it ahead of time. ?Just take the steaks out, season them and go.?
You are absolutely right. ?It kills me when people overdue steaks. ?Why eat them at all? ?Just get a burger. ?:)?
I absolutely LOVE Dale's. Seriously. It is the best stuff I have ever used on steaks! YUM!
Yea I think so too. It was a cheaper cut. Manny come up with a marinade smells great. Let you know how it came out. I wanted to try a marinade rather than the usual rub. Lets see... :-)
I got this awesome flank steak recipe off food network a while back, but it's at my house and I can't find it on-line right now... it's actually what we are having for dinner tonight! I made my marinade on Sunday and placed the steak & marinade in a freezer bag and froze it and just happend to pull it out yesterday to thaw. All I have to do is grill it when I get home!
The recipe has balsamic vinegar, parsley, basil, oregano, soy sauce, garlic, EVOO, salt, pepper, dijon mustard, worchestire sauce... it's awesome! And makes the steak super flavorful! I also make an asian style flank steak (soy, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil) that awesome too...
If you can do all the prep work on the weekend--you can stock your freezer and pull it out the day or evening before to thaw. Make's life easy!
I do that sometimes, and I'm always so glad I did!
I do the EXACT same thing!!
