New Seasons Product Rec

I went to New Seasons to buy some foods that I can eat - which isn't much now - but I found these awesome tortillas.

They're La Rosa Spinach Wraps and are in the cold section.  I've been using them as wraps and broiling them to make as "crackers" for dipping in my tomato soup.  Yum!

They aren't the best for me, but they're a good substitute for bread and are pretty healthy for the most part.

  • I think La Rosa tortillas are the ones we usually buy when we make Mexican pulled pork, tacos, and things.  They're always soft and yummy!
  • Hi Jenni,

I know you're trying to lose weight-I heard of a diet I think I might try when I'm done being PG. I'm not sure what its called, but the tenants are basically this: if you cant hunt it, pick it or gather it (I think?) then don't eat it. It seems like a good way to get nutrition and still cut out processed junk w/o depriving yourself. Thoughts?

Yes - that sounds like what I def want to do!  It's REALLY hard to stay away from processed foods, but I am trying.  I have a lot of weight to lose - about 60 lbs. total.  I'm working out 6 days a week with 40 mins cardio and 30 mins strength training.

With DH it's really difficult to not have processed food in the house, but he is slowly getting onboard for this type of change.  But DH is very supportive, so the more serious I get, the more apt he'll be to go for it.

Sounds like we will be in the same boat once my LO arrives. I'm quite the chubster these days Embarrassed. You'll get a head start, but we can be weight loss buddies starting in May :)
