Under 1k

Holy crap.  How sad and scary that her small child was in ICU for dehydration?  It's also pretty sad that they didn't know if it could have been anti-freeze.  Poor little guy, I hope he's okay.

Re: Under 1k

  • Wow...Poor baby.  :(  How does your child get to the point of a coma w/o you seeking medical attention?  I mean, if the kiddo was that listless and tired for more than a day, he'd be in the Dr.'s office.
  • No doubt- 3 days!  I did just read that "anti-freeze" is a standard test for kids presenting with those symptoms. Still though, how do you not seek help sooner.
  • Apparently there aren't any coupons you can print out/clip for doctor visits.

  • I hope he's ok, but also I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he's developed some sickness because of mold growing in her house, or some mutant steak that developed teeth and is biting the kids in their sleep.

  • Too bad she started moderating comments. Can you imagine the things she would be getting?
  • I see another DSS visit in her future. Also: I'm going to name the mutant steak. Hereforth it shall be named Marvin. Marvin the Mutant Steak.

  • My first thought was along the line of BC's post.  This won't look good.

  • And the sad thing? 1) They probably can't pay for his treatment. And 2) this will undoubtedly do nothing to change the way they live.

well, on 1, they ahve the crappy state-insurance for kids.  So hopefully that works.

    But on 2, yeah.

I do twitch when I see this blog.  Because I understand living frugally...but my mother had blacktonge from malnutrition at least 4 or 5 times as a kis from her family trying to do this sort of ***.  And, yeah, she's scarred for life.  but evil grandmother doesn't see the problem.  That's what I see EK doing.

  • This is serious. I really hope that they find out why this happened.
