Coming out of lurkdom to ask for a recommendation...

I'm a brand new nestie, so I've been lurking here for a few weeks. I'm looking for a yoga class to attend about once or twice a week. I'm in the 183 & Anderson Mill area, so North Austin would work best. Does anyone have any good recommendations for yoga studios? Thanks, ladies!

  • What kind of yoga are you looking for?  I used to do bikram yoga (hot yoga) at Yogagroove and loved it.  Planning to restart again next month!  It does take some getting used to and not everyone likes it - but you do get a month trial for 20 something dollars so I'd recommend trying it!

  • I've never been to the Gold's Gym classes (or any other yoga class for that matter) but I know there's a gym near you and we pay $25-$30/month for a gym membership there and you can go to as many classes as you like.  I just made a list of all the classes I want to take so I can let you know how it is.  :)

Ditto.  It's $28 for the first month unlimited.  Make sure to look into how much it will cost you after that b/c it can get pricey.  I LOVE Bikram yoga, but it's definitely not for everyone.  Some day I might be able to get back into it, but for now, it's on hold. Crying

  • there are 2 yoga yoga studios up north. they offer a wide range of classes, and i've enjoyed most of the instructors (i usually take ashtanga, hatha flow or vinyasa). i'm more familiar with the studios south though.
