STUPID STUPID STUPID BAD MOMMY!!

effin a!  I just clipped his finger while doing his nails.  I read about this all the time but it hasnt happened up till now and we were doing so great.  He is always moving those fingers and I have never ever nicked his finger.....until this morning!    I feel sooooo bad.  He got over it in about 5.2 seconds but I still feel like a big piece of crap.  Way to go Beth, nice hurting your own kid........stupid!

happens to everyone! Don't beat yourself up! I've gotten pretty good lately though and it hasn't happened for a few months. Babies have that thick kid skin...they can bounce back from anything in a few minutes.

Awww Beth it's ok, it was just an accident!  I am am sure everyone does it at least once!  I am so afraid of this too. I tried filing them, but it just tears the nails up, so I let Jack fall alseep on me, then I do it while he's in la-la land...every once in a while he'll pull his hand and scare the crap outta me, but usually it's good.

Aww like the others said, dont beat yourself up over it! I know you must have felt horrible, but he's a trooper! If he was over it in 5.2 seconds, then there was no damage done!! :-).

HEY I STILL DONT CLIP THEIR NAILS, I FILE THEm, and that was not supposed to be yelling at you, i just realized i typed the whole thing in caps and am being lazy and didnt want to rewrite it, but it would have been faster than having my explaination about it too lol

anyways... i am petrified about doing that so i file their finger nails....

i finally can clip vinnys toe nails...  he lets me so its not so bad but i swear its like performing surgery lol

Awww, hugs! Their nails are just so tiny and they squirm so much its hard to avoid nicking them

It happens to all of us. Both Matt and I have done it and Alex is okay! Connor will be too!

Thanks ladies.  I am sure it will be the least of the bumps and bruises in the years to come with this overactive boy but my heart still hurts. Thanks for the love!!
