So my family (parents, myself and gma) are sitting at breakfast saturday morning and grandma says, "So who is donating money to Haiti?". Clearly she wouldn't, and said it to start a convo. Dad just laughed at her and I said, "I donated $10 and plan to donate more.". She turned to me and said, "Now why would you do that? Are you serious?".
I told her I wanted to to and she asked "why would you want to?". Holy hell, you old bat! I basically shut her up by saying, "It's not like I took $10 from you to give to them, and don't try to talk me out of my good deeds.".
Greedy old bat.
Re: Re: Haiti
I'm not usually an advocate for punching old people but I'll make an exception.
Mom is going to be part of an all-day prayer thing for Haiti. I think that's cool. That's all I have to add, because my mom is not a racist oldbitch.
am I the only one annoyed by the whole "waaaaahhhh - something awful happened - why is everyone being so cheap/slow - we DESERVE HELP NOW!" attitude?
The sense of entitlement bothers me - obviously what happened was awful - but where was Haiti when Katrina hit the US or the Tsunami hit the south Pacific?
Barbie-See nicole, Pmeg, some others.
I don't think everyone needs to help, but I WANTED to so it is what it is.
