1/18 literature

What book are you reading now?  If you're not reading anything right now, what is the most recent book you have read, or the next book you plan to read?

Re: 1/18 literature

  • I just finished The Last Lecture. Now I am stating The Meaning of Tea. Plus I read comics =P
  • I am reading The Shadow of the Wind now. It's beautifully written. Does anyone ever post on the Nest Book Club? They (we) are a fun bunch of girls who love to read!
  • My "reading time" is usually in the bathtub, but lately I'm on a Sex And The City kick.  I've been watching 2 episodes of SATC on my laptop during my wind down time.  I suppose when I finish the whole series I'll go back to reading.  I still have to finish Jenn Lancaster's Bitter is the New Black.  That shouldn't take long to finish up.

  • The last book I just (re)read is Nicholas Sparks' Dear John. I don't really have a book I'm looking to read next, if I do pick up another book it'll be either "At first sight" or something along those lines (been on a "Carolina kick" lately) between that and trying to catch up on my stitching my "me time" has been pretty full. :-)
  • I'm currently reading Freakonomics.  It's really interesting.  Next I'll move on to another Pat Conroy book- either My Losing Season or South of Broad.

Have you read Lords of Discipline?  It was my favorite.

I'm still on a magazine kick.   I've got like 25 left from the last six months.  Thanks mom.

  • I'm reading Mitch Albom's latest. I have a huge stack of books waiting to be read, and I just picked up another couple Dorothea Benton Frank books this weekend.
  • sctiger~I definitely suggest South of Broad as a next read- I LOVED it!!! :-)
  • It takes me a bit longer to read these days, but currently I am reading The 8th Confession by James Patterson.   Don't really have any other books "on deck", but there are a couple of Danielle Steel books I have that I haven't read yet in my closet, so maybe I'll read one of those.

  • I'm currently pleasure reading Return to Sullivan's Island by Dorothea Benton Frank.  I'm also reading The American Past: A Survey of American History(HI112) and HDEV(Human Development for PSY204)... these are my textbooks, but they consume a tremendous amount of my "reading time".

  • I feel like I never have time to read these days :( But I am making my way through "Escape from Cubicle Nation." It was a Christmas gift from DH, who is clearly trying to tell me something about my current job!

  • I know I am way late on this post, but figured I would post anyhow. I just finished reading The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. I am also re-reading the Twilight Saga. After that, I will be reading The Lovely Bones.

  • I am reading Babyproofing Your Marriage but also have Flying Changes (Same author as Water For Elephants) and The Darkest Child by Delores Phillips to read.

Did you like it? I found it painful but my MIL and FIL thought it was just amazing.
