Yeah, Old Navy's great - if you like being an online "exclusive"! Look, fatties! It's exclusive! Now you get to wait a week to see if something fits!
Bmom there's a specialty store here in CLT you'd love to burn down. It's all plus sized clothes, with a plus sized price. Ok, I found really fantastic dress pants there for $60, but honestly. $60?
They're perfect. They hang great, great fabric, great color, great style, and they don't taper in like a lot of pants do nor flair out in some 70's wannabe fashion statement.
Still, I do love their clothes. The other day I went into a regular specialty clothing store with BFF (a size 6-8) and I felt like the girl was chasing me around with her dust mop. I mean every time I turned around she was behind me with the thing. What did she think I was going to do? Steal the $158 shirt and another just like it and sew them together so they'd fit my arm?
Well, I loves me some Igigi, and they're ridiculous - a dress on sale is still a $60 dress - but at least they're well-made. I am willing to pay for quality; LB and Torrid are not quality.
I also do a lot of shopping at ON, because they're the only ones still making low-rise jeans and their clothes aren't all either too young for me (Torrid), too expensive (Igigi and Kiyonna), or made for 9-ft-tall giants (LB and WalMart). I'm just irritated that I can't try stuff on until it gets to me.
