TD, are you wondering if there were more images that could have seemed out of place? Could be. The thought crossed my mind also. Only the one photo was named in the story..
Or the National Guard may just be picky so that if there were a soldier with these types of images and they wrote it off as family pictures, they could be viewed as ok with this? (If that makes sense?)
I'm thinking the soldier had something else--like a cache of real child porn on his computer--and when he was faced with telling his family why he was being court martialed and kept in Afghanistan, he told his family "I don't get it, these are the only pictures I had" as a way to save face.
I'm just suspicious about the way the story seems to originate from the soldier's mom, when moms aren't always the most unbiased sources of information for why their children are in trouble with the law.
