Valley/ Studio City Help for a newbie
Hi everyone,?
I am more often on the Maine boards, but know that some of you may be able to help me. ?DH and I are planning to buy in the studio city burbank area and we found a co-op in studio city that we love. The owner came down a bit, but they are still 25K over what we would prefer to pay.?
We are wondering if anyone has any experience in the Tujunga Villiage area? We are just wondering if the area is worth it for the extra money.... Any thoughts would be welcomed!?
Re: Valley/ Studio City Help for a newbie
Congrats to saying goodbye to shoveling snow. Say Hello to 78 degree Christmas! My DH left Upstate NY 15 years ago and never went back to the East.
Anyway....great area. There is this place called Ciaoti Pizza. Apparently he and Wolfgang created the BBQ Chicken Pizza. It is a very charming strip of shops that you are LUCKY to have closeby. And remember Robert Blake? He shot had his wife shot at the Italian restaurant parking lot on the corner. Vittellos.
You will be close to everything. You wont be in the stix. Close to the freeways, grocery stores , drug stores. Target and Costco will be a bit of a drive, but you'll be ok.
I should mention that Real Estate in this area stays pretty high. As most of the country lost 25% of their value, our home rvalue remained high. I am not sure about Coops, tho. I just know that the price of condos has increased signif. over the past 8 years that I have lived here.
Hi there!! I live in Studio City and I love it here. I bought my place almost 5 years ago and the prices of homes/condos here are pretty stable compared to the rest of LA. I can see why its priced higher in this area, you are definitely paying for the location.
I'm not very familiar with the Tujunga Village area, so I don't have any imput there. Is that close to Toluca Lake?
Good luck!
I live right around the corner from Tujunga Village - it's like a little main street with lots of boutique stores, a funky coffee/sandwich shop, and as Moiselle said, one of the best pizza places in the area.
It's something that's convenient to be near, but I think that any part of Studio City would be a good place to live.
I totally recommended the area. It is fun, trendy, safe and lots to do.
FEB3..what elementary school are you referring to?
