Please look at tomorrow's forcast for Portsmouth. Would you take a 2yo to Water Country? We had my whole family (6 adults) organized to have the day off together (VERY difficult) so we could go. Initially I said we're going no matter what the weather ... but I didn't think it would be cold, just maybe rainy. I'm just not sure I want to take K when it's not supposed to be hot. I've told everyone that I want to cancel and try another day, or that they can go and we will just stay behind, but they're all getting upset with me. My parents have said, "well if you're not going then there's no point in us going, we were going just to watch the baby". I can understand their frustration, but come on people ... it's going to be too cold to have a baby running around in the water! Due to many factors including my difficult work schedule and my parents packing and moving the next chance of us all going together would be Sat Sept. 13th. Who the heck knows what the weather will be then? Probaby no better than tomorrow.
I'm half tempted to try and go, and the other half wants to say, "sorry, but we're not going". What would you do?
Re: advice needed from moms
I'm not sure if you read my post below (it's on the second page now) about yesterday's Disney incident, but I had been BACK and FORTH for WEEKS about taking the kids down to CT for that show. Even yesterday morning when we left, the forecast for Hartford was for a "chance of showers". We got down there and it was a GORGEOUS day - not a drop of rain and I had overressed the kids a little bit, even, as the predictions said cooler temperatures than what they actually ended up being.
i would play it by ear... my sister and her boyfriend and don and the boys and i planned on 6 flags when we were on vaca the 3rd week in july.... we planned on going monday but the week before i saw the weather and it was supposed to be t showers... so we put it off until that weds luckily we could all still go that week.... as our tix were already prebought also...
we actually could have gone mon becuase it wasnt raining at all. weds ended up being nicer in the long run, but mon still would have worked. but we called the trip off on that fri night..
so long story short, maybe you can wait and see... i know its a total pita, believe me i do, but that may b your best bet.
