Chicago Cheap Eats?
Hello Ladies.
I'm from Boston, but the hubs and our 4 month old will be in Chicago tomorrow and Friday. I'm looking for some good (cheap) breakfast and lunch ideas? We are staying downtown (E. Hubbard?). Any ideas??

Wow Bao is one of my favorite spots... particularly the one by the Reniassance hotel. I believe they have egg sandwiches and oatmeal in the mornings, and then they serve Bao (asian steamed buns) in a variety of flavors in the afternoons and evenings. tasty and cheap. There is also a Wow Bao at Water Tower Place, but they don't have breakfast there. But breakfast is served at the WTP food court. not super cheap, but not terrible, either.
I also like to hit up the hole in the wall hot dog-type joints for cheap lunches. A place called Grillers up by Rush and Pearson has a big variety of pita sandwiches, italian beef, sausage, hot dogs, etc... all for pretty cheap. But any of those types of counter-style places are good options.
Because we're fancy like that.
Bongo Room is great for breakfast (at Wabash / Roosevelt in South Loop area).
