XP - Palm Springs bachelorette

Hi ladies, I hope you can help me. I also posted on the travel board. (I think Palm Springs is part of the Inland Empire, but to be honest I don't even know!)

I am helping to plan my sister's bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs. My other sister and I are looking into lodging and we just don't know the area at all. Ideally we'd like to find a nice house with a pool and we're checking out VRBO, but I don't know if we should be looking in Palm Springs proper (North, South, or Central?), Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, etc. We'd also be open to a resort with a spa if we can find something reasonably priced. There will probably be 12-14 girls.

So, I'm looking for suggestions on where to stay, what to do, etc. And areas to avoid!

Thanks in advance.

Re: XP - Palm Springs bachelorette

  • I had my BP in Palm Springs 2 yrs ago and went to one last year so here's my 2 cents on it.

If youre looking for more of a resort feel you probably want to go with Palm Dessert but I will warn you if you're looking for a night life, Palm Dessert doesnt have much. There is a club (Costas Nightclub) at in the Desert Springs Marriott hotel so if you are staying there its even better. Since its the only place around and THE place to go for bachelor/bachelorette parties it gets packed and there is a cover so try and get there early. We stayed at the Marriott's Desert Springs Villas which is a timeshare hotel which was nice because you got a kitchen in your room. It had a nice pool area but no spa services or anything else.

Last year we went to downtown Palm Springs for my friend and I think that was more fun. We stayed at Hotel Zoso which was right in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. The pool area was small but they have a DJ on the wkends which gives it a fun ambiance. The hotel didnt have spa services but I know there are other hotels nearby that would have that. Downtown Palm Springs has a lot more nightlife too so you cant go wrong there.
