I hate Comcast! They have screwed up 3 times within a week.
First, they change my number for the move, except they kept our old number in service. I was wondering why we weren't getting any calls, then DH called home from work Monday and said, guess which number I had to call, our old one. They never had any record of changing it. I even told them the number they gave me.
Then when we had our service hooked up, they conveniently forgot that we got HBO and Starz. So, I had to call them up to add it, thank God they had record of us having that plan.
Then today, the phone doesn't work, yet, the internet and cable are perfectly fine. So thankfully, DH forgot the cell phone this morning (we share one to save money) and I called Comcast. The earliest they can have someone out isn't till tomorrow afternoon. I told the girl, it's not like I'm having something hooked up, it's a problem. I told her, well, it's good my DH forgot his cell today, or I would have no means of communication including 911. All she said was I'm sorry Ma'am.
Completely useless. She told me they would be here between 1 and 3 tomorrow and that they are required to be here within 24 hours of my call. Well, 1 is 24 hours, 3 is over that. Grrrrr.
Anyone have anyone else they use for all 3 services? I haven't heard great things about Fairpoint, but Comcast blows!

Call them back and tell them that you will be switching your service to Verizon/fairpoint (whatever they are calling themselves these days) unless they do something for you to make it right! Insist on some sort of monetary compensation for your incovenience - you deserve at least that much!
They messed up out account when we moved too, it was such a PITA, and I hate to say it but make sure you stay on top of them.
We have the bundle pack and wanted everything transfered from Allenstown to Raymond (simply disconnect our account in Allenstown and re-connect it in Raymond). We had to get a new phone number because we changed regions or whatever. The first month we were in Raymomd we got a bill from our account in Allenstown. We thought this was strange, so we called and they said to pay it, it was the balance of the month before we moved, ,made sence, so we paid it. The next month we still got a bill for Allenstown, again we called and they said to ignore it, must be a mistake yada yada...the next month...you guessed it, we get a bill, only this time it has a late charge on it saying that we didn't pay the bill they told us to ignore. Call again, they look and say oh, you have two accounts open we will close one and you will be all set. Well whoever did that must have been a moron because they never closed the account, we got two more bills and had to make two more calls before they finally straightened it out and closed our account.
wehave had vonage for 3 years now and love it. we dont use a house phone enough to want to spend mucho bucks on it. its less than $20 a month. call id voicemail etc.....
and then we have fios for internet and cable and love that. we also hate hate hate comcast with a passion. they definately blow!
I agree. Evan is on the phone with the daily because our internet service goes out so much! When (if?) we move, I'll definately be looking for another option.
