Anyone choose not to have the testing for Downs & Trisomy?
Re: BR: testing
We didn't do it. It's a really long story; there was a communication mixup at the office. We originally planned to but after the mixup and such we ended up not. Plus my doctor didn't recommend it b/c it has such a high false positive rate and we had zero signs implying we'd have any problems.
Oh and FYI, they can test for Down's without doing the NT Scan. They just measure the fluid on the back of the baby's neck at your 12 and/or 20 week ultrasound. That would be the first marker that would indicate a problem.
