Downtown Nashville hotel rec?
My friend and I are coming to Nashville for the AU/Vandy game wknd of Oct 3-5 and are meeting sorority sisters for the game and to celebrate my bday (its on the 6th) and we were trying to find a good hotel in the area, near downtown/Vandy area.
Any recommendations?
A lot of them seem to be booked already!!!

Right near Vandy (walking distance from stadium):
Holiday Inn Select
Marriott
Loew's
Marriott Courtyard (West End)
Hampton Inn (on Elliston or on West End Ave)
Hotel Indigo
Others that are downtown and not really w/in walking distance of VU:
Hampton Inn (on 4th)
Renaissance
Sheraton
Hilton
Courtyard Marriott (on 4th).
Oh, and there is a Doubletree downtown, too.

It is Family Weekend at Vanderbilt, so that's why a lot of rooms are already booked. :-)

So THERE'S the reason all the rooms are booked so far in advance!!! I've been before to this game and don't remember having a prob.
