Is this judgy?

I was at Target and crossed paths with a woman, late forties/early fifties, wearing a Hollister hoodie.  I think she's too old for that.  Hell, I'm too old for that.

Hollister.  Really.

Is this too judgy?

Re: Is this judgy?

  • I judge anyone over 25 wearing South Pole/Baby Phat/Hollister all of that.

  • sMIL wears Hollister/AE/Fossil crap all the time. But a lot of that is because her daughters buy it for her. I think it's ridiculous.
  • Not judgy. I'm too old for that crap too.
  • Nope.  You shouldn't be over 22 and wearing Hollister/A&F.

  • i'm too old for that, too.

my mom wears my old esprit sweatshirt from 1987, but she gardens in it, not wears it out in soceity.

  • Eh, I'd just assume it was her daughters and daughter didn't want it anymore. My mom is still wearing my plaid flannel shirts from 1994 because of that.

  • Even I'm too old for Hollister.

  • eh, I find caring about who is 'to old' for a brand to be just as judgey and distasteful as caring about any other brand name.

  • Don't worry, I'm judging right along with you.  Also, please to be adding Ed Hardy wearers to that list.  I almost died when I saw a couple obviously in their late 40s/early 50s wearing matching EH t-shirts in Vegas last year.

  • Whatever.  I'm 45 and have an Ed Hardy T-shirt my niece gave me.  I wear it and I like it and I'd probably buy myself another if I ran across one shopping.  I'll wear red hats when I'm 75, too.  And Hollister hoodies if I think about it.  Talk to me again when ya'll get here, k?  Now if you were being all judgy about thong bikinis after a certain age, I might be more inclined to agree with you on that.

  • I agree Val. I have an AE sweater my DD got me for Christmas and an old hoodie I wear of sons. I'm 43 and agree that some of their opinions will change when they get older. But I have to say that I don't really care for Ed Hardy, Jon Gosselin is his worst advertising. I guess I think you should just wear whatever you like, (and whatever your kids buy you, lol).
