For those of you who are on FB, this is a recap.
Last week I had severe swelling, water retention, pitting edema coupled with a migraine. I went in, my BP was ok, so she ordered some blood work and gave me water pills.
Her assistant called me last night, said the test results were in, and Kim needed to see me in person. Always a good sign. I had an appointment for 2/2, she said no, you need to come in immediately.
So I went in this morning. Knew it wasn't a good sign when she had the lead doc confer with her, and they sat down next to me and handed me a box of Kleenex.
My liver enzymes have gone from 7 (low) in September to over 200 (over 3 times the normal range). The lymph node they've been watching in my neck has not responded to antibiotics, and apparently they found another huge lymph node when they took out my gallbladder - the surgeon just removed it. This, combined with the swelling leads her to think I have Lymphoma.
I have to go get a CT scan tomorrow and meet with the surgeon on Friday. They're going to remove the node in my neck and biopsy it. Right now, I need to calm down enough to drive over to the hospital and pick up the contrast I need to drink tomorrow, and get back to work at some point in theory. I am freaking out. Redneck just said "Don't get shook about it until you know for sure." Yeah, um, thanks. I'll do my best.
