Intro - moving!
Hi girls,
I am usually on the WCF boards. I live in Orlando but got married in St. Pete in October. H and I are moving to Ft. Lauderdale next month for his job. I wrok from home, so I will be keeping my job. We will be down there this weekend checking out some apts. We currently own but don't know the Ft. Laud area too well, so we figured we will rent first. We have some appts set up for Friday and Sat to look at places. We are hoping to rent in the Downtown/Las Olas area, so if anyone has any suggestions of apts to check out (or ones to avoid!) I would love to hear them!
and hopefully if you girls do GTG's down here, I will get to meet some of you soon!

I live in Miami and don't know Ft. Lauderdale very well, but I'm sure some of the other girls will have suggestions.

We actually used a realtor to find our place and we live down here. It was a huge stress reliever since we rented right before the wedding. We told him what we wanted (no carpet, pet friendly, area, budget, etc.) and he compiled places for us to look. DH and I spent two days looking and we found our place. I think it cost us a couple of hundred bucks but it was well worth it.
