Hi ladies,
I've been reading a lot of the raves about Gudonya Too, and I'd love to try it. My only concern is with the reviews of "it makes my hair feel a day old." My hair is thin and I can NEVER go two days without shower, because it gets so oily. Those of you who use it, do you think its worth a shot? Or do most of you have thick hair and can typically use shampoo every other day? Sorry if this has already been asked/answered, I know the Gudoyna Too has became a huge trend recently!
You guys are such a great source of information - I've already switched to vinegar, baking soda and lemons as my cleaning supplies and love it. Can't wait to learn more from you!
Re: Gudonya too - lurker question
I have very fine hair and LOVE Gudonya. I've been using it for a year. I have never felt like my hair was a day old. It always feels clean and soft. Can't rave enough about it.
I wonder if those who say that work up a good enough lather, that's important.
I have thinner hair and I love it, too. It makes my hair feel clean. I think the "day old" comment is about how regular shampoo over-cleans and leans your hair feeling dry, but then by the next day it has the right amount of oils in it that it's easier to style and just looks better.
Normally I only shampoo every 2-3 days, even before Gudonya and I don't feel I have to change those habits at all. I read long ago how unhealthy it is to shampoo daily so I stopped. You hair also produces fewer oils when you shampoo less over time anyway.
I use it 6/7 days a week and on the 7th day I use Burts Bees...I found that if I use it all 7 days, my hair ends up greasy.
I have hair like you...can't go a day without washing or it is super oily...my hair is crazy thin and limp. I've tried for months to go even one day without washing, and sometimes I do on the weekends still, but my hair just doesn't like it
Anyway, I LOVE gudonyatoo so I think you'd be fine

I have really oily hair and wash it every day too. I gave washing it every other day a good try, but by midday the second day it looked pretty gross. Even though my hair is oily, it also can be really frizzy. So I also condition every day.
Some days my hair looks awesome with Gudonya Too, and some days it has that "day old" look. I don't think I use enough product on the "day old" days. I can get away with only conditioning every other day with this, and I don't need to use any product after I wash it to control the frizz. So for me overall worth it.
I'd say give the 4 oz. shampoo a try. If it doesn't work, you didn't spend too much money on it. If it does, you have a great product!
This exactly!
I gave up using shampoo a year or two ago because my hair always just sucked, even if I conditioned after. I could go two or three days without showering before my hair looked decent and didn't act dry and crappy.
I had been using conditioner only, which was working a lot better for me. My hair still looked best the day after I'd wash my hair with conditioner. Which sucked, because I exercise daily and would go hop in the shower and the pretty hair I had for my workout was gone until the next day.
The gudonya just gives me clean, well behaved, shiny, pretty hair that acts like it's a day old. I do need to use the shampoo with the gudonya, though, because their conditioner is very moisturizing!
