We have am excutive membership through Costco and we'll have to renew pretty soon. We've always had the executive, but just wonder if it's even worth the extra $50 a year. The check at the end of the year is nice, but it's only 2% of our purchases.
If you have a Costco membership, which one do you have?
If you have the executive do you think it's worth it and why?
If you don't have the executive do you feel you're missing out on anything?
Thanks!
Re: Costco membership???'s
I thought that if you get the Executive, and at the end of the year you didn't really benefit monetarily from having Executive versus regular memebership, Costco actually gives you your money back for the difference. I hope someone can explain this better.
Aka, you have nothing to lose by getting the Executive membership.
I could be wrong. =/
You could try reposting on MM, they seem to be up in the know about Costco matters.
This. We just upgraded and this is what we were told.
This.
One of the Costco employees stopped me last week when I was there and told me the executive membership pays for itself if you spend $200 bucks or more at Costco a month. She told me the same thing 10yt mentioned in that if you dont get at least an extra $50 in your yearly check they reimburse you the difference.
I'm torn on whether or not its worth spending more now to save something later on. There are some months we spend over $200 a month there (as embarrassing as that is) but I dont want to make a habit out of it just to make it worth my money.
If you book travel through Costco, automatic upgrades and other additional discounts.
We have our car insurance through them and get free roadside assistance. Here are some other ones c&p from their site:
Executive Membership is our highest level of membership. Executive Members enjoy an annual 2% Reward on most Costco purchases, as well as additional values on member services, such as lower prices on check printing, payroll services and identity protection; an account bonus for money market and online investing accounts; free roadside assistance for vehicles covered through the auto insurance program; and extra travel benefits.
