So I just found out about this work out and it looks like a lot of fun. Does anyone Zumba? Where? How much per class?
Re: Zumba
I haven't done it before, but back when I used to post on H&F more, there were several girls who were into it, including one who was an instructor, I think. I think the classes are just at a regular gym, but there's also a video you can do at home. (I'm all about working out in my living room. LOL)
HTH! If you go, tell us how you like it. :-)
Ooh I would love that information.
I have done zumba since 2007. If you love to move to music, especially latin rhythms, this workout will be so fun for you. Just dont go in there thinking you have to be a dancer to do it. Just move at your own pace, and dont get frustrated if a move is too quick at first.
I dont think the zumba dvds offer the same experience as a zumba class, but the dvds can still offer you a good workout, of course. They are just sorta outdated.
Zumba is a fantastic cardio workout, and depending on who is teaching your class, you can burn upto 700 calories in one hour doing this workout. I have seen women shed so many pounds doing this 3x a week, and incorporating weight training and good diet into their routines.
I HIGHLY recommend this instructor, Gisselle. She now teaches at 24 hour fitness on Crystal Lake Street in Orlando. She is instructor I started with, and she is amazing. So if you are into getting a gym membership there, you can look into her. She was the most motivating instructor I have had in a gym class setting, and sweet as can be. I have been to some zumba classes with instructors just going through the motions, and totally different experience. Hopefully, if you try it, you will get an energetic person that loves doing what they do, which reflects onto their students.
