first thing this morning, i open up my iPhone and read some email.

i got an email from someone who's name i regocnized, but in my sleepiness didn't quite put 2 & 2 together.

it was sumshiot about "thank you from the majority" and how grateful he was for the state of MA.  

whatever, it put me off.

then i realized who it was.

it was my college roommate's dad!  

Ok, barely know the guy.  why is he sending mass political emails in the middle of the night to every damn person in his email list?  

there was some hardy interobaning going on. 

then there is a reply all response from someone i think is my roommate's cousin.  basically saying "don't send me this bullsh!t i don't agree with your assessment of the situtation." 

i was all, "go girl!" and sent her a note thanking her for hitting reply all. 

dude, i'm still kind of pissed at my dad for sending me an email urging me to vote McCain.  WTF does this guy think he is?

My granfather assumed I was Republican, presumably because he is. I don't know what about me would make anyone think I am a Republican, aside from originating from Orange County.

People are blowing this thing way out of proportion. I think that's why Haiti had another earthquake this morning. Hello, y'all. The Senate getting one more Republican < just about everything else in the world.

i agree, Ww.  admittedly, i'm disappointed in the whole damn political process.

but i do think the right is making too much of what this "means."

Right. Haiti experienced an earthquake (now two) because God hates them. Sure. It has NOTHING to do with plate techtonics or anything. And, p.s. - California is not going to fall off the west coast; the very western portion of the state is traveling north. LA is going to be next to San Fransciso in a billion years.

The local board had a debate about this. That someone had said God did this to Haiti because he hated them because Haitians are evil, or something equally stupid.
