When did you take a teacher test in MA? Were you a teacher at one time or planning on it? Inquiring minds.
Yeah right. I'm nosy.
Re: *~*~*Heather*~*~*
I took the MA exam back in '03 and passed it. Because I didn't participate in an ed. program as an undergrad, it only "provisionally" certified me to teach. I had intended to go immediately into a graduate program, which is why I never did the ed. minor at Brandeis, opting instead to double major and expand my specialty in preparation for teaching at a college level and writing. Of course, with the glut of applicants in MA at the time, I wasn't able to get a teaching position after my graduation, nor was I prepared to head straight into a full time grad program.

So true. I will be going back part time for my M.A and Ph. D, so it will take forever, I just need to pop out another babe or two first. Fortunately, there are several schools in the area that will let you teach with a Master's, so hopefully that will work out for me.
I think being 17 allows you the room to not know what the future will hold. Family is the priority right now. Beautiful things happen when you wish from the heart SO I have a feeling that you will be a mother AND a professor in time!!
