Jobs for teens?

Where is a good place for teens to get a job at? It seems that every place that we look you have to be 18 and older.

Places like Bed Bath & Beyond, Ross, Staples, Sprouts all say that you have to be 18 and older.

Any ideas?

 Thanks!

  • My sister worked at Old Navy in high school. Granted that was 8 years ago, but maybe check it out. I worked at a sandwich shop in high school, I think food places are generally OK with younger workers. I also knew high school kids who worked at places in the mall like American Eagle, etc.

  • I did hostessing at restaurants when I was under 18. It's really hard right now to find work when you're in high school, I know many restaurants have stopped hiring kids who are still in high school, they're being picky due to the economy.
  • How about Trader Joe's? They seem to hire a younger group. I worked at Sea World during high school, maybe check there?
