My grandma (the evil one)

My mom's told me horror stories about the schit she'd pull when they were kids.

My mom had thick, beautiful hair when she was young. It was probably to her waist. One day, she did something that made my grandma mad, so my grandma grabbed her by the hair, whipped a pair of scissors out from behind her back, and cut it all off. After that, she wouldn't allow my mom to grow it out. She had an awful pixie cut until she hit high school.

My grandma's always been a person who doesn't like seeing other people happy. So she does her best to take away or ruin that which makes them happy. That happened to be my mom's hair.

Re: My grandma (the evil one)

  • That is a total Mommy Dearest move.

  • My dad hasn't begun to even to tell us all the stories about his mom. Frankly, I don't want to hear them because I have enough of my own.

Hell, at my high school graduation she managed to claim she was near a diabetic coma and interrupt my graduation party. And she called my aunt a fat cow. The woman is 6 feet tall and weighs like 160.

  • That happened to Mom, only the circumstances were a little different.

My Mom kept crying about how bad it hurt to get the tangles out (she had curly hair) and would cry, and cry and cry.

So one day Grandma stopped, got up, grabbed a pair of scissors and cut it off, and threw it in her lap, all "There, now it won't hurt to brush it any more"

    your grandmother = my mother...

but to keep you from growing it out once old enough to care for yourself = vindictive.

  • my moms mom did that to her too! not for that reason, but because June bugs would get tangled in when they would go swimming. Since my grandmother had 6 girls with hair to comb, she cut off my mom's hair (middle child) so she'd have one less to deal with.
