Sibling rivalry story...
We lived across the street from this family with four kids. The oldest were two girls that were the same age/grade level as me and my older sister (two grade levels apart).
The oldest was a complete biotch and the younger one wasn't much better. These girls competed at everything and the parents fostered their competitiveness with one another. The younger one had a talent for tennis and the older one was a moderate player, but nowhere near the skill level of her sister.
The younger one got picked for a Varsity tennis team as a freshman and the older one barely made the team and was an alternate. The older was so mad that she snuck into the younger one's room at night and cut her bangs while she was sleeping. They were about 3 in long and she had curly hair, so they looked even shorter.
IDK if the parents ever punished the older daughter.
