s/o parents

I was convinced there was a mix-up at the hospital and I was not my mother's child. Convinced. Somehow though I was still my father's child.

I cannot imagine how bad that hurt her feelings as a child. It wasn't until I was 19 or 20 that I started to resemble her at all.

Re: s/o parents

  • I swore up and down that I was adopted. I mostly got this from a Babysitter's Club book. Anyways, I had really light blonde hair and no one in my immediate family has blonde hair. My mom finally found the pictures of her in the hospital after I was born and showed me that I was indeed their child. I still had my doubts.
  • My sister tried to convince me I was adopted. Problem is that I look exactly like my mom and gram. Then she tried to tell me that we'd had an older brother who had died before we were born.
  • H convinced SIL she was adopted. Sometimes she was adopted from China, other times she was found abandoned  on their paternal grandfather's coffee farm in Angola.
MIL is thrilled you're joining the family. Image and video hosting by TinyPic
