Breakfast/Brunch suggestions

I was wondering if everyone could tell me their favorite breakfast/brunch places in the area. My H and I are so tired of the usual Bob Evans and First Watch- we want to try some new places.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Breakfast/Brunch suggestions

  • Here is our list- We attempt to try different brunch spots once in a while

Keystone Bar and Grill in Covington

    Mokka in Newport

    Sugar and Spice

    Tuckers

    Europa in Mainstrasse

  •  regularly we go to: Keystone, Vitor's, Annabell's

on occasion we go to: Greenup or  Chez Nora

recently went to: Lavamatic (good stuff) and Nectar (good too)

want to try: Honey, The Palm Court (buffet), Melt, Mayberry...my husband just went to Tucker's for lunch yesterday and loved it.

I am sure there are more, I am just not coming up with them

  • Tucker's downtown (great for going before wandering Findlay Mkt)

    National Exemplar in Mariemont

Melt is great for lunch, but I think they open too late for brunch. Not much in Northside opens before 11:00am - except the Bluebird Cafe which has a decent breakfast and is across from Melt.

  • Grand Finale is good, but it's more of a special occasion brunch destination.  I like the Echo but I've never been there for weekend breakfast.  Ron's Roost in Bridgetown has a new sunday brunch buffet that I want to try.  We now live an hour away though so I don't see us getting there anytime soon.  I like the Original Pancake House but it's a zoo for brunch.

  • The only one I haven't seen mentioned is Otto's in Covington. I'd also second Honey in Northside and Vitor's in Cheviot.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • We go to the Echo, the Proud Rooster, and Sugar & Spice mostly.  Teller's has a decent (fancier) brunch - but it doesn't open until 11 am.  We've gone to Olive's because it's convenient - but it can be hit or miss.  We've had very good meals and some very bad meals there.

  • DH and I frequent Half Day Cafe in Wyoming. We love it (its local) but they aren't open on Sundays.
  • I also forgot Take the Cake in Northside -sooo yummy!
  • La Cherie Bakery & Bistro, Otto's and Europa are some of my favs!

As an FYI, I am pretty sure that a couple of the places I recommended open at 11.

  • National Exemplar is a solid choice.

As corny as it sounds, the cheesecake factory has a good brunch and the hofbrauhaus used to do brunch on Sundays too (dunno if they still do).

I have friends who swear by Greenup for any meal of the day.

  • Thank you ladies! I will add all of these places to the list!Big Smile
