Dear Mother Nature
Please make the earth stop shaking in Haiti first. But, when you're done with that can you make the rain go away? Please?
I know San Diegans are giant weather wussies, but this is not something our city can handle. The storm drains were filled up with debris from the tornado warned winds so anything else that you dump on us just makes the street flood. My car almost drowned, but I ran through the dirty water to rescue it and move it to a hill. Other people weren't so lucky. And since a lot of the businesses couldn't move, they're all flooded now too, in addition to the homes that had water gushing through the doors. I mean, really, a few inches of rain isn't all that bad, but give us a chance to breathe before the next storm hits. Pretty, pretty please.
