It's for my sister, who is visiting next weekend. Thanks!

Re: Restaurant recs in Nashville

  • What is she looking for as far as $$$ that will narrow it down a little.

  • I always recommend Fido's for breakfast/brunch or Noshville. Not sure of $$ or price but my best meals have been at Margot Cafe, Yellow Porch, and in Franklin I like Saffire. HTH.
  • It doesn't matter- she wants yummy food and a nice atmosphere!
  • Oh and she's staying at the Sheraton on Union St if that helps- .
  • Some of my favorites:

    City House

    Germantown Cafe

    Margot

    Eastland Cafe

    Zola

    Tayst

    Watermark

    Sylvan Park Cafe

    Cafe Nonna

    Loveless Cafe (for breakfast)

    Bongo Java - breakfast

    Fido - lunch

    Jacks BBQ (downtown)

    Provence - lunch

  • We have been to and really enjoyed:

    Germantown Cafe

    Watermark

    Loveless Cafe

    Noshville

  • There is a ton of good food here, but me and H's very favorite spots include:

-Cafe Nonna (cozy little Italian place)

-Zola (fusion food with a romantic atmosphere)

-The Yellow Porch (awesome menu, sort of funky but upscale vibe)

-Tayst (one of our only green certified restaurants - amazing fresh and local stuff and fantastic wine list)

-Calypso Cafe (very casual but incredibly yummy)

  • Rumba on West End is one of my absolute FAVORITES, and they make amazing mojitos.

    Cabana in Hillsboro Village.

I also second the Fido recommendation. ?I actually saw Dierks Bentley there last week.

Lime is good as well, but it can be a bit pretentious on the weekends. ?I went on a weeknight and had fabulous service & atmosphere. ?(Nicole Kidman has ate there more than once.)

Sunset Grill for something a little fancier.

    Virago for sushi.

I'm a frequent Yelper, so I totally recommend looking up these places on Yelp!
  • My DH and I recently went to the melting pot downtown, and it was fabulous. Its a fondue place but expect to pay $$$$. Their food is awesome, We did the four course meal dinner for two which was $89 (but included a cheese course, salad, the entree, and the fabulous chocolate course). You can go in and have just the cheese and chocolate course (which to me was the best part).
