Any first married Valentine's Day ideas?

DH and I have never gone out for Valentines Day (too crowded, prices are higher, etc...) but we always try to do something special for each other.  Since it's a Sunday and we have church things going on in the morning, I want to look for some fun heart shaped breakfast treats.  That's all I've come up with so far... just wondering if anyone else has ideas yet.

I'm going to try to replicate our favorite dinner from our honeymoon... grilled red snapper. And maybe also make our favorite frozen drink from our honeymoon too. 

 We haven't had snapper since the honeymoon and it's DH's fav... so I might just commit to it and do a whole honeymoon themed night. We'll see.

We're going out to dinner, which doesn't seem like a lot, but we both love dining out.  It's a chic little restaurant built in a former airport hanger.

I honestly almost never go to San Francisco unless it's to go to a show in which case we always just choose a random place to eat near the theatre... always good but never outstanding enough to stick in my head for next time.  BUT... one nice place I can reccommend if you like Asian fusion is The Slanted Door.  DH doesn't like the city but I would love to take him here one day if I can ever convince him to ignor the traffic.    http://www.slanteddoor.com/  Ask foto for ideas too since she was just there for her honeymoon!

San Fran has so many amazing restaraunts, go to Ghirardelli square! Thats where we stayed for our honeymoon and they have an amazing cupcake shop there.

We will be kicking of the new season of NASCAR while we continue our tradition of going to my parents every Sunday. I know its not romantic, but its something DH and I love to watch.

Oh Gayot looks fancy!  I like!   Oh and Kellie, I am a Nascar fan.  My dad took me to Talladega a few years ago and I have been hooked every since.  I like Jr. but now that he is sponsoring Danica I don't like him anymore.  i think Mark Ambrose and Jimmy Johnson are SO cute!

Hubby and I usually exchange cards and that is about it.  Neither one of us is overly into Valentine's day and would rather do something lovey-dovey when it doesn't cost so much!  :-P

We're going back to the place that we went to for our very first Valentine's Day... a yummy dinner at PF Changs!   And we'll probably get each other some sappy cards

This poll got me thinking about our unmade plans and when DH came home I gave him a few suggestions and he told me he already had suprise plans made! I am so excited He is so sweet and I love him

OH you have to go to Talladega!  It was SOOOO much fun.  We didn't camp, we stayed in a hotel.  But we did "tailgate" which was awesome...  good times!  We also got tickets to the JR. tent with free beer and food and we got to see him and Jeff Gordan speak.  It was cool!  Loved the whole weekend!

I'm a little late but my hubby is hosting a work funtion that entire day...but it's a balcony on Bourbon Street with free food and drinks and the Bacchus parade and spouses are invited... so it should be a good time regardless, just not romantic.  We'll go to dinner another night to celebrate!

I am going to talk to my uncle and see what he pays for his tickets. Thats awesome that you got to see Jr and Gordon. When we went to Homestead we met Kurt Busch, Clint Boywer and a few other drivers and we also got them to sign a hat. Needless to say DH wants to do it again.

I'm definitely late on this one as well, but I haven't been able to spend much time on here lately.

 DH's birthday is Valentine's Day so that always makes it that much more dificult to plan around. We are celebrating his birthday the night before, but besides that I have no idea what we're doing...

DH just asked me last night what I wanted and the truth is, any 'event' (Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.) causes his so much stress, it's stressful for me. He wants SO much to get it just right, that he stresses, then gets cranky, the doesn't believe me when i tell him how much i love what he's done. I asked him to just not do anything. All I want for Valentine's day is an un-stressed husband. As it turns out, we both have the next day off, so maybe we'll hit the pub for a few cold ones. That's fine with me.

I am getting Boudior pictures done for him and putting one in a nice frame. Then he is planning our evening, I told him to pick the place to go out to. (We also will not have any kids!!)
