Re: boo and a poll
As someone who dyes so often I should really have a beautician's license, I say wait and do a darker shade in a few days.
But beware: if you have any even vaguely blond highlights, you could end up with green hair. I tried to go brown once, but they don't tell you if it's blue- or red-based dye, and I was green for a week.
If this shade came out okay, just not dark enough, try the same brand, next shade darker, and leave the dye in for 45 minutes.
I can throw in my own 2 cents from experience here as well.
When I go for brown, I stay away from colors with the word "golden" in the name. It tends to make my hair look brassy. colors with "ash" in the name give me a better golden color. Brassy+draker color= fail for me in the past.
