Free Seeds for Non-Profit Summer Camp?
I am working at a summer camp this summer as the CIT director.
One project I wanted to start with my campers is to maintain a garden
and use some of the produce in the kitchen and donate some to local
food banks. Does anyone know of a company that will donate seeds for
this cause? I was going to start drying my organic produce seeds, but
I want to have a lot of varieties for the campers (including perennial
flowers to liven up the cabin areas). I'm willing to spend my own
money on this project but I would love to not go broke and get as much for free as possible! We'd probably be planting a 10x20 foot area.

don't you need to plant stuff before the campers get there or they'll only see sprouts by the time they get home
Yeah the veggie garden I will plant myself before camp starts (maybe during training week), but the not the flowers. That'll be a cabin activity or something. But that's why I'm trying to get seeds now and not in May.
I wish I was closer. I'd send you some. I'd rather someone use them and I save my own seeds so I have loads of some things.
Maybe someone here will have some extras?
