FIL update
Everything went well yesterday (or, as well as it could go). He doesn't need open heart surgery. They're going to put some stents in next Thursday.
I don't really know how all of it works, so I don't have more explanation than this. From what I gather, things went well and stents was the best possible outcome for his situation.

My uncle had a bunch of stints put in, and he's doing great now. Out and about like it's nothing.

Stints sounds much better than open heart! I've had several family members (Uncles / Grandfathers) have both.
If the procedure is still the same, the dr goes through the leg/groin area. He will likely have to lay flat for several hours to keep pressure off the area. With the stints they usually went home the same day.
I believe they did mention this to me. I really do listen but sometimes I can't take it all in when it comes to medical stuff.
We're relieved he's going to be ok.
I understand what you mean. It's a lot to take in - especially when you are worried about a family member. T&P
