Thai restaurant recommendations

Besides Teak?   We love Teak, but it's hard to deal with Mt. Adams when we have the girls.   We have Thai Cafe right in our neighborhood, but haven't been uber-impressed.

Where do you go for Thai?  Looking for restaurants within a 15-20 drive from Clifton.  Thanks!

Re: Thai restaurant recommendations

  • I love Thai!  My favorite is probably Lemon Grass.  I've only been to Wild Ginger once but I thought it was pretty good.  Same with Asiana.

  • Bangkok Bistro is excellent! I thought Lemon Grass was okay-good (same category I'd put Thai Cafe into).

  • The Thai Taste is delicious! We just had it this past week. We go to the one in West Chester, but there's also one on Crookshank Road.

  • I haven't gone in awhile but used to go to Thai Namtip on North Bend.

  • I love Chinese/Thai food and put the following places to the test on the quest for the best pad thai in town.  (Sad to say, but we eat out a few times a week) Over the past few years I've sampled: Wild Ginger, Dancing Wasabi, Ichiban, Green Paypaya, Bangkok Bistro, Teak, Aoi, Ruthais, Beluga, Saki Bomb & Amarin.

    Here are my awards:

Best Happy Hour (half price apps & beer):  Teak

Best Chicken Pad Thai:  Amarin (has a few hints of extra lime and a good texture)

Close Seconds: Ruthais, Green Paypaya & Teak

     Best Menu Overall:  Green Paypaya

My parents love this place!  They have really affordable lunch specials through the week.

Saigon in Fairfield is a little hole in the wall, almost in Hamilton, but it's some of the best I've had

I didn't know they had one in West Chester!  I've only been to the one on Crookshank.  It's an odd location and we always laughed about Thai in Western Hills but they're good too.

My parents just went there and told me how great it was.

H just went to Tan Thai Cuisine on Court Street and said it was really good. I would call and see if they are open for dinner. (513) 381-2100?

  • There's a great place in Florence, on US 42, called Mai Thai.  Yum!

  • I second Thai Taste!!! we always went to the one on Crookshank when we lived in western hills, it's very very good!
  • We like Foreign Exchange on Beechmont ave. It's the same owner as Teak, so that should tell you something about the food.

  • I like Thai Taste and we love Green Papaya.

Tan Thai has new ownership and I wouldnt waste my time. They have lost a ton of business since this and their food is lacking.

I love their food and sushi (Hawaiian roll is amazing!), and the service is excellent!!!
